A Fender Final
It's been a fun tournament, and you might say that our semifinal matchup between the Telecaster and the Les Paul was the real championship. We've got an all-Fender final, and it looks like the Telecaster is the clear favorite.
The Les Paul ran into trouble when its starting humbucker drew a technical foul late in the first overtime. It became clear that Gibson didn't quite have the stamina to last deep into extra minutes.
The ES-335 had a chance to force overtime with the '54 Strat in the final minutes of regulation with two free throws, which they missed. The Strat got the ball back, drew a foul, made a free throw, and the resulting hail-mary-half-court shot from the ES-335 didn't come close. So, the Stratocaster moved on to tonight's championship game against The Telecaster.
It's still not too late to influence the final outcome. Vote here. One lucky voter will earn a Fuzz Bag in our giveaway. The promo closes with the final whistle of the real NCAA tournament. Good luck.
