#2: Take Care of Your Jack, Jack

Our co-host Desmachine (aka Desmond Smith) gives a dramatic reading with his thoughts and simple tips on taking care of your input jack, which is really an output jack, but everyone usually calls it an input jack. Confusing, right?

  • It is technically called an “output jack” because it’s where the signal comes out of the guitar to head to an amp, but it’s somewhat of a misnomer. A lot of people call it an “input jack” because you stick your cable into the guitar with this jack. We don’t care what you call it.
