Fond Object

This piece is a part of our 2015 Nashville Trail Map. Check out all the points on the trail and download our hand-illustrated map here.

Nestled inside the quaint little neighborhood “downtown” of Riverside Village, adjacent to the best damn sandwich shop in Nashville, Mitchell’s Deli, resides a gem of a local business. Part record shop, part dream vintage destination, part backyard hootenanny and petting zoo (home to 2 goats, a pot-bellied pig, and an alley-cat), and part a whole lotta love merge together to form the best hangout and shopping destination across the river in East Nashville.

Created by members of The Ettes and local music-man about town, Jem, Coco, Pony and Jeff, this crew knows good music and offers plenty of it. From weekly backyard shows to an increasingly popular Record Store Day party featuring bands, djs, food trucks and good vibes, Fond Object has already solidified its role in the local music scene since its birthday 2 years ago. Check out Tim Kerr’s Joe Meek wall mural, and maybe catch Jenny Lewis rock some badass bell-bottoms at the next FO get together.
